• Education: B. S. Commerce, Jose Rizal College
• Miscellaneous: The most well-loved Philippine president; As Defense Secretary under Quirino, he was very effective in suppressing the Huk insurrection that catapulted him to the presidency in 1953. Decidedly a strong sympathizer of America, he was also helped greatly by America. He died, with most of his cabinet, in a plane crash in Cebu.
